I have a denon 3311ci. It has an option for wides or heights. I recently set up wides and everything was fine. I moved the wides up a little closer(they where too far behind the fronts) and the left side when I test the levels plays but has static and isn’t as loud. I try putting the left speaker into the right input and the speaker sounds fine so it’s not the speaker or the speaker cable.
I then tried the heights and same issue. The left speaker terminal plays staticky and when I try to audyssey the system it says check phase and cation on that speaker. It’s only the left wide or height terminals. If I put the right wide speaker into the left side I get the same sound.
So it seems like the left side terminals on this receiver are bad now all of a sudden. They where fine a few days ago just don’t know how what else to try.
I tried grounding my receiver to my line conditioner but still same issue.

The sound when I go to adjust levels for white noise sounds like crackling white noise. Not normal. Not sure how else to describe it.

Do a microprocessor reset. If that doesn't resolve the issue, repair or replace with a more current model.
