Bought this camcorder as a spare cheap backup to my HD700.
I think it has a fault, straight lines appear to undulate and warp whilst panning across a scene.
The fault may be seen here in a video I uploaded to YouTube ...

Look carefully at the straight roof canopies and signs of the shops - you will see them warp and not maintain a straight edge as the camera pans.

Anyone care to comment - is this the infamous rolling shutter issue with all CMOS based cameras. I've never seen this on my HD700.
