So anytime I want to run Audyssey or go into the menu to change settings my 1912 doesn't respond to the remote. Fortunately I have an extra remote I hung onto from a warranty exchange when I first received the AVR from A4L. If I swap remotes I can run Audyssey and get into the menu until the next time I turn the AVR on and then I have to switch remotes again to get into the menu functions and make adjustments.

Anyone experience anything like this? Is there a way to re-sync the remote so I don't have to keep an extra remote laying around?

Have you tried replacing the remote's batteries?
Low power can cause strange glitches.

Then I have to suggest ordering a new remote of the appropriate model. Replacing the batteries would also have done a "reset". Sorry.

This same problem would sometimes happen with my 1912 as well.

What fixed this issue for me was I had to make sure that the "AMP" button was pressed and then the AVR would respond to the remote entirely.

Hope this fixes the issue.
