Does anyone know if this hard drive will work in the PS3? They have it on sale at BB for $129.

I just bought this one (it's white thought...uugghh), the black one is $199.00, same size and all.

If your gonna use it for music, pics, etc, you shouldn't have any problems. Make sure you label your folders correctly, all caps.

I just installed a 250GB WD HDD into my PS3, BB had the external model going for $129.99 last week so I bought that one, cracked it open, and swapped out with the 60GB. Getting the external has the advantage of giving you case to put the 60GB in to use as a portable drive at no extra cost

just got the last wd2500bevsrtl at a local BB here in CT and worked like a charm! movies are also palying off of this drive just fine.
