Hi Guys

Just to let you know I have finally got one of these from Amazon, got it working in 5 minutes - turned on TV, selected AV6 = RCA or AV5 = HDMI, powered up, cables attached, pressed power on remote and it fully loaded. I connected up my 500gb Maxdor HDD and clicked enter, that's it. So simple, and I'm very pleased as it plays my DVDFab generic AVIs and to my delight plays raw VOBs and even better still (see my old posts) all voices are now in sync and films great to watch. Altered TV setting to normal as on wide screen was gap each side. All my media is standard definition but quality is as good as up scale DVD.

Only one criticism - a lot of my films generated off the TV are in sections and it will only play one section at a time, it doesn't follow on. A bit annoying but am hoping they will bring out a new firmware which will correct this.

As I am a newbee can someone post an abbreviation chart as I'm reading many posts, finding very interesting, but having a job to follow. What is HT setup, AVR, HHD, FTP, CPU ?????

HT setup = Home Theater set up

AVR = Audio Video Receiver

HHD = Should be HDD standing for Hard Disc Drive

FTP = File Transfer Protocol

CPU = Central Processing Unit
