Westinghouse company(LTV-27w7 )

Hello new to this forum, I just noticed that my Westinghouse remote for my LTV-27w7 HD TV turns on my Sony Wega. It even goes into the menu and also controlls the volume. Does Sony make Westinghouse products? Or is it normal for this remote to controll my 6 year old Sony. Any thoughts? Also does anyone who owns a Westinghouse LTV-27w7 HD use there Xbox360 on it? If yes, can you please give me your preferred settings for the best picture? I know not all tv's are the same but I would like to know more or less what to set mine to. Thanks :)

Westinghouse's remote chip inside the TV is made by Sony, but Westinghouse TVs themselves are NOT made by Sony.
