I have a 32" lcd westinghouse and i notice that when watching HD channels if the camera does a sideways pan of landscape or a room slowly i can see like a warp on the left side about 5 inches in and on the right side same distance. I can describe it as being a fish eye kind of look, it also does it at up and down pans but its only about 2 inches down from the edge.

Its only noticeable when the camera is panning Right, left or up and down.

Is this just because of the lens on the camera or is my tv screwed up?

It's called panaramic by some it's when the center of picture is intact and the sides are stretched, giving that fish eye, fun house effect. It's one of the ways some broadcaster will broadcast a program when it's not in HD but they want to fill the screen. It's not your TV.
