Westinghouse LVM-42w2 vs. TH42PX60U

I can get the TH42PX60U or the Westinghouse LVM-42w2 for about the same price and was just wondering which unit everyone would go for . I am thinking the plasma would be better, obviously because its from a quality brand (not denouncing Westinghouse in any way) and is probably just an all around better set. My father has a 50PX60U and it is gorgeous, so I know I would be pretty happy with the 42" version but the 1080P capability on the Westy is making it hard to decide. I mean in all honesty the Westy's 1920 x 1080 pixels piss all over the Panny's 1024 x 768 but will the Panny still look better say on HD channeling? I am not too worried about features, so comparing those aspects are not important, I just want to know which will look better.

This is a fundamental question of "LCD versus plasma". I would go for the Westinghouse bacause I like the look of LCD displays far above the plasma "look". Having the ultimate sharpness of true 1080p would seal the deal, in my opinion. Yes, you would clearly (pun intended) see the difference, if you sit close enough.
