I will be getting a Pioneer 5080 very soon and had a question on the Whalen 3 in 1 console. Will the pioneer fit on this particular stand? Sam's Wholesale has it and it would work perfect for me.

It will support up to 165 lbs. I have a 106 lb Panasonic TH-50PE700U mounted on it and have no complaints.

Yes, it will work fine and you can even still use it if you upgrade to a 60" in the future.

If you want to place your center speakers on one of the lower shelves, be careful to make sure it will fit. Mine came up half an inch short. I either have to wall mount my center or cut off some of the top shelf crossbar support.

Theres always some little thing that goes wrong that you only realize when it's in your house.
