What 16:9 v. area will I have in a 70" 4:3 sceen?

How big will a 16:9 image be on a 70" 4:3 screen?

Approximately 56" wide by 31.5" high (assuming you don't stretch the image).

Edit: Oops! Sorry James, but I just assumed you meant your screen was a 70" diagonal. But if it's 70" wide, maolen's figures are exactly right.

am using a 70"x70" screen myself.

16x9 should be


70" width x 39.38" height = 80.31 " diagonal
