I was curious which amps are being chosen for highs and mids in active systems or more to the point, not a sub amp.

I am using active CROWN DSi THX Cinema amps on my front stage. The ones that are specifically made for theater and commercial or installed cinema. I run active, and straight up to the DNA360 compression driver on one channel I get no hiss. I threw my inuke 3000 dsp on my mains and by my burned out ears it did not sound as good as my cheap onkyo 709 direct. Even after audessey. I did not measure, but felt the highs were off. But by then it may have just have been me or the beer.... the inuke had way more power though.Using a Samson sx1200 per LCR for mids and highs.
I've read this repeatedly on various forums, the highs are not good on an inuke.I threw my inuke 3000 dsp on my mains and by my burned out ears it did not sound as good as my cheap onkyo 709 direct. Same here. Has been a solid performer. May want something different upon upgrading my front stage though, depends on what I upgrade to.B&K Reference 7250 Series II
That's my only complaint. They are only about 10 minutes from my house too.I can't own an EMOTIVA because the term "EMO" just gets under my skin.
It reminds me of this:
