i am installing the audio portion of a home automation system. the distributed audio will be voice quality. the audio source will be a sound card on a pc. on the speaker end, i am interested in small speakers which fit into single gang boxes, such as http://www.basshome.com/product_315801_detailed.htm (32 Ohm, 12W) or http://www.basshome.com/product_477_detailed.htm (8 Ohm, 20W). i do not know enough about these things to understand what sort of amplifier i would need. possibilities include voice being distributed to one room or all rooms (probably 12 in total). i thought i would go from an amplifier to a speaker switching device (like http://www.amazon.com/SSW-6-Speaker-.../dp/B00006JQ62 this for example) to provide impedence matching, and then into an automated switching relay device to control which rooms are on/off. anyone have any recommendations with respect to what specifications the amplifier should have?

thanks.
