The WB announcement has literally made every website, blogger, publication, store basically declare HD-DVD as likely to die out. My question is what can Toshiba do to help the format out.


All I could really think of that would help is to finally get the 51 GB Tri-Layer HD-DVD out and really hype it up as having more space than blu-ray etc... Because the extra 20 gb in the average consumers mind makes blu-ray superior. Also, im thinking that they release more combo discs and drop the price to around DVD levels, so that anyone who buys the DVD has the HD-DVD version as an extra incentive. Im hoping the superbowl commercial really informs the "average joe" crowd watching that hd-a3 and the like are cheap upconverting players that allows HD-DVD's.
