What are these HK Features?

I see two features on the new Harman Kardon receivers that I am not familiar with.

A/V Sync - this is suppose to (I think) correct the problem when digital audio is not synchronized with the video. I won't ask how this works, but does it work? My Comcast Cable HDTV programs are usually a little out of synch would this correct it? (I should probably fix the source of the problem and get an upgraded cable box.)

Video Polling - For the AVR330 it has video polling on Video 3 and for the higher models it has it on all video inputs. What does Video Polling do?

I feel like a dork asking these questions.

A/V Sync Delay

Gives the user the option of slowing down the audio digital as the video picture may be delayed due to buffering and other other digital processing either in the source component or video display.

Video Polling

I think you mean digital polling .. Permits the digital port and analog inputs to switch (poll) each other for which one is busy, like for a cable STB or SAT tuner that has a mix of analog and digital channels..
