Hello,

I am considering mounting my plasma on the wall and am wondering what you guys are using to house your components. I saw a home decoration show (my wife was watching, I promise...) and noticed a wall-mounted plasma with a sofa table under it. I liked the look and height of it, but might not be able to go this route as I have a cable box, hddvd player, xbox360 and a sonos unit that I would like to hide if possible.

Any suggestions are most appreciated.

Thanks

Any t.v. stand works. I actually got a t.v. cart from wal-mart for $15. I just didn't put the wheels on it. Works fine holds my 5.1 receiver, dvd player and my hdtv receiver. Just depends on how much you wanna spend.

Oh yeah, and there's nothing wrong with watching a home decor show. I watch HGTV all the time. Great place to get ideas

We have the Kingston media stand from C&B.

You have to put it together yourself ,like IKEA, but the quality is much better. A little pricey, but the look was perfect for our room.

They have a larger (wider) version as well.

If you're not interested in dropping $450 to $600 for something like this, then Target has some stuff that looks similar at a much lower cost (and lower quality as well).

Do you have a basement? I ran all of my wires down in the wall through the floor to the basement and mounted them on a shelf down there. I then use the Harmony 890 IR repeater to control everything.

Took a day to do... but I don't have to look at any of the equipment or wires... which was worth any amount of effort!
