Are you planning on using CIH? If so, I'd go with the 2.35:1 screen. I would get you nearly as big of 16:9 screen.
I am planning on doing CIH. According to the screen calculator, if my 2.35:1 screen is 150" diagonal, then that has a 59" height. If I use that for a 16:9, it becomes a 120" diagonal. Are you planning on using CIH? If so, I'd go with the 2.35:1 screen. I would get you nearly as big of 16:9 screen.
Noob question, but to setup a CIH, is it just me setting the lens memory of the projector to be that 59" height for 16:9 content?
I think they have improved upon it, but it's definitely not the most ideal route to say the least.A word of caution unless Sony (you mentioned the 695 in another thread) has changed their software when you change the memory zoom setting it remembers the journey not the destination, what that means is if you fiddle with the image up-down, left-right, bigger-smaller, the software remembers all those clicks and each time you ask it to assume the position it does the same dance. Drives me nuts.
