Hello, I'm still new to the A/V world and was wondering if I could get some advice on my setup.


I'm just starting out and all that I currently have is:


Yamaha RX-V659 Receiver

PSB T45 Towers

NAD C320BEE Amplifier


I don't think this sounds right, do I just hook the amp up to the receiver with audio cables and then have the speakers come from the receiver? I've never used an amplifier before and was wondering if I had it right and also whether or not the amplifier is even necessary. Thanks for the help.

You would go from the receiver pre-out to the amp and then the speakers from the amp.

thanks, do you think that the amp is necessary? I plan to beef my system up in the future, but for now this is all i have

Hell no!... lose the amp. You have all you need is the receiver. There's nothing to "beef up" unless you want new speakers......... or live in a cathedral.
