Hello all,


I have been a member of AVS, but I dont post very often. I bit the bullet on the Onkyo HT-s5200 last week and it should be in tomorrow. I already have HDMI cables, but since the audio wont pass through the HDMI, what cables will I need for audio? Thanks.

What are you plugging in to it? Most likely some optical cables.

I will be running my tv, blu ray player and wii through it. Thanks,

So for the tv and blu-ray you should be able to use an optical cord for both of them, as long as they have optical outs. The wii is going to be tricky because unlike the 360 there is no optical out and there is no coxial out on the component cables, so you are sort of out luck.


What you will most likely need to do is have your tv go to receiver, then have the wii in the TV. then you need to change input on tv to the wii and input on receiver to TV and it should work.
