Hi All,


New to the forum and hoping for some advice.


I have an ACER LED backlit monitor and a new Alienware Laptop with LED backlit screen. Hoping to find a Calibration tool that will not only provide good results but also make these displays very similar.

There are alot of tools out there that are good for LED displays spectracal has the X2, M2, i1 Display Pro and colormunki which are all reasonably priced (for meters) and have specific calibration tables for LED, or in the case of the colormunki is a spectrometer.


Windows has OS support for calibrating gamma and white point, but it doesn't have any support for calibrating gamut. Gamut being where the colors red, green and blue are. With out being able to changed the location of those colors, you can't match them exactly.


Our CalPC product with the M2 meter would be a great place to start.
