I have just finished putting newish tubes (07 MP) in a Sony 1271. Everything seems to be correct and installed properly.


However when i turn it on the green tube lights up and within 1 second goes super bright, so bright that i thought i was gonna blow up so i unplugged the power cable.


The other 2 tubes (red and blue ) are fine.


I dont get any error codes


what should i be looking at in order to fix this problem. Could it be a faulty tube?

It could be, but I'll bet you bent a pin when you put the CRT socket back on. Check that first.
