Does anyone have a clue as to the video chips-set used in the Tosh SD3750 and related sistas - 4700 and 5000?

Thanks,

Hank

They use the Zoran Vaddis V, which is an integrated MPEG decoder and deinterlacer. It may also have a video encoder built-in, I don't recall. Toshiba has used Zoran since day one. This is the first time for their progressive players that they have used an integrated solution. The last one was using a Vaddis IV MPEG decoder and a pair of Genesis chips. The previous was a vaddis III and I am not sure what the deinterlacing solution was. (SD-5109) It did not behave like any other.

Thanks! Being that I don't have a progressive monitor as of yet, how does this set handle interlaced video?

Regards,

Hank
