What connectors are these

In my house there are 4 ceiling speakers and then in a corner there are 8 cables running out of the wall. I am assuming these are for the speakers and previous owners connected these wires to some AV equipment. The 8 speakers are sets of 4 with connectors that I have never seen before. Can anyone tell what these are and how can I convert them to regular 3.5mm etc ? see attached pictures of the connectors

#1 could be RCA
#2 looks like BNC (not normally use for speakers)

thanks. The house has old security cameras. BNC could be bringing those in I guess. Sorry for the newb question but would a speaker has one RCA output or two ? These are 9" ceiling speakers. Trying to figure how to use them to play music
You're assuming they are speaker cables coming out of the wall. But you are correct that the previous owner used them for audio or visual equipment. ;)
Speakers do not typically use RCA or BNC.

You should know what happens when you assume.

Take the covers off the speakers. Dismount and look at the connections. Work back and see where they go.
I think the first plug is electrical power, say for a camera, and based on the size I'm guessing it carried 12V DC.

I agree the second is BNC which can be adapted to typical RCA with a simple adapter. It usually carries video or line level [weaker than speaker level] audio.
