Hi I have a Pioneer Kuro monitor without a built in tuner. I live in Englewood NJ 07631, just north of the GWB. I would love to dump Timer Warner cable.

Totally new to this type of discussions so forgive my ignorance.

According to antennaweb I need a medium directional antenna with pre amp.

Does this sound correct and more importantly what does that mean in practical terms? ie what unit(s) are recommended.

I want to save money but it seems that I need A: antenna B: pre amp C: tuner/converter, which seems like it could add up to quite a large sum of money - hundreds of dollars.

Wish it wasn't so difficult to cut the cord.

Any insight and information would be greatly appreciated.
