I now have 4 RF remotes all piled up and I am wondering what everyone else does with them? Here is what I have


Fan

Air Conditioner

Fire Place

Rollar Blinds


even with a universal remote for my HT I am stuck with 5 remotes sitting on my table at times.

Unless they are X-10 or Z wave remotes you are probably stuck that way. That is why they came up with X-10 and Z-Wave, to have compatible RF remotes.


I think that I remember reading a story on how some of the CE manufacturers are working together to try to develop a new RF standard for all CE devices, kind of like the IR standard most try to work within, but it's probably still a couple years out by my guess.
