Just got my TV in today but was a bit disappointed in the PQ.

The one in the store looked much better.

I was wondering if this was because of a break in period for the TV.

You really need to be specific as to what actually disappoints you about the PQ. It's like telling a doctor you're sick, but not telling him your symptoms.

First off, what source are you putting in the tv. Have you tweaked it at all regarding some of the color and brightness settings? Have you read through some of the 50LC13 threads regarding setup?

Hey Ben, it's doggiedog from ATOT!

Anyhow, I tweaked the picture as much as I could but even with HDTV (1080i) the picture seemed a bit off focus. It was not sharp at all like my 36XBR400 which is a POS BTW.

I just finished watching a DVD on it and the picture seemed to improve. The pixels seem a bit more defined. Before, as I was looking for dead pixels, the ones that were dead were green and seemed kind of hazy. After the DVD, they weren't as noticeable.

I guess the set just needs some time to break in.

Hmm that is a bit odd, I didn't recall much of a break in period for my set, of course I had to wait for some of my new equipment to come in before really giving my set a workout. Maybe my set did "break in" over that time.
