Hi there,

I'm a noob and need help buying a decent set of speakers + A/V Receiver.

I'm looking at the Harman Kardon HKTS-18 5.1 and the the Onkyo TX-SR606, This will cost me around 850$, Do you recommend a better combo for this price range 800$-900$ ?

Also I'll be shipping this stuff to my country and would like to know if it's voltage is universal 100~240V ?

Thank you guys. I hope you could help me with this decision.

I was looking at the HKTS-18 package for my Onkyo 606 too. I decide to buy individual speakers instead. So far I have ordered a pair of Polk Monitor 30s and a Polk CS1. Next week I will order the Velodyne VX-10, and if the price of the Monitor 50s come down i will get 2 of those for my fronts.

That sounds awesome !, Please let me know if you like them or not.

I was thinking of this speaker system because it is a package, I'm not familiar with setting up individual speakers and I think they will cost me a bit more.

It's highly rated at the (BigRiver) so does anyone here owns them and paired them with an Onkyo A\\V Receiver ?
