I know it detects speaker distances, sets crossover values and assigns individual speaker levels. I can see those adjustments under "manual setup" on my AVR 1700. What functions, if any, does EzSet perform "behind the scenes," so to speak? More specifically, does it filter or boost certain frequencies to accomplish room correction?

My reason for asking: I want to know if EzSet/Eq does anything I couldn't do with manual setup using an SPL meter. I get wildly inconsistent outcomes running HK's auto EQ, and I don't trust my lyin' ears enough to just wing it. My new SB-2000 sub deserves a happy, balanced home, so informed advice will be greatly appreciated.
