What does one do with an old, blown speaker?

I have an old Definitive Tech ProMonitor 800 that was a Surround speaker. It randomly blew last week and I've since replaced it with the same speaker.

What should I do with the blown speaker? My inclination was to throw it away, but it might be fun (at a minimum) to tear it apart and see the speaker's innards -- something I've never done before. I also saw guides online about repairing tears in the cones and coils but not sure how difficult it is to do that (and whether it's worth one's time and patience).

Costs nothing to open it up but, personally, I'd just throw it away.

If no working parts can be salvaged from the speaker I'd just toss it out.

Keep the magnet, throw everything else out, unless you're trying to learn how to rebuild a speaker.
