It's just not the same around here without the Brickster. Best wishes to you and the family, Brickie!
brickie,

Do you have ANY idea how many popcorn questions have gone unanswered in your untimely absence? Yes, we know that you have a family, but get your priorities straight. Your public needs you. :D

I am also available to answer your popcorn questions. I already answer them 8 hours a day, 5 days a week! :)
Sorry coach....there's no Brickie equivalent :) The man is a legend!

Well I wanted to take the time to thank you for my Fun pop 4 oz (hey I love Brickie as well!). Had it since the Super Bowl and loving it! And I almost have my bar finished and think it is going to look nice with the bar.

I'm having fun trying all the different popcorn and toppings. Yummy....

Here is a couple of pic's where I'm "test fitting it" in what should be its new home,

I would have gladly gotten the "Fun Pop" 4oz but at the time I purchased a popper, Gold Medal didn't make the "Fun Pop" 4oz. The only 4ozs that were available were by Star Manufacturing and Paragon.
Can someone tell me how big of a footprint the 4oz and the 6oz machines are? I need to see if they would fit on my wetbar counter.

The 4oz I have (pictured above) is almost exactly 16" X 16" footprint. Since I have granite tiles on my bar, I cut a piece of that heavy rubber drawer liner and set the popper on top of it. Probably not needed, but figured it wouldn't hurt.

BTW, I love the 4oz Funpop. It easily pops 6oz kits as well. However, now that I have used it many a time, I would say that while I happy with the 4oz, the 6oz version would not have gone to waist by any means.

I tbought about this after hearing about the large funpop 4oz kettle. Maybe it's really a 6oz popper in disguise. How many unpopped kernels do you have when using a 6oz kit?

Not many. In fact not that many more then when I do 4oz kits. It does in fact do a good job with the 6oz. But if you do about 4 6oz kits, the machine starts to get a little full. But you start passing it it out and it goes down. That is why I say the 6oz machine would not go to waist, for the extra popped corn it could hold.
