Right now im running 2 identical subs that i built a few weeks ago. These are probobly the best sounding subs ive built so far. After i built them i did some more reading around and then decided to tune them alot lower then they were and i notice they lost a little punch. They sound alot deeper but they dont sound as filling now.

If i run one say 30hz and one at 45hz would it sound any better?

Im also running them out of phase and the bass is alot better this way also.

your experience is to be expected.

typically, the lower the tune, the less efficient above the tune.

here is an example. two dayton titanics. same size enclosure. two different tunes.

it gets a little complicated based on where in the room each sub is, but theoretically, i am aware of no reason why you can't run two different sub tunings. just make sure you have two different high pass filters if running them ported or you might unload the higher tuned driver too soon and overextend it.
