What is a good light absorbing material

I need some suggestions for light absorbing material to be used in a masking system. I have tried black flock paper (good) and black fabric (35% cotton, 65% ploy) and was thinking that felt would be the ultimate. The problem I have with felt is that its tough to stretch evenly and is difficult to get the dust off.


Any ideas?

Go to your local fabric store and get a sample piece of velour black,someone suggested flees but found velour to do a great job.
