It has 3202 hours on Red and Green tubes and 309 hours on Blue tube, what would you say a good offer would be for this? Do you think $1k is too much? Picture looks awesome. HDTV is sweet and everything else looks great.

I recall these going for as much as $2000 if in great shape. The fact it has a low hour blue will make for a long life. I don't think 1K is too much at all.

I assume from what you've said, you've actually seen this projector in person. It that's the case, take a good look at the crt's themselves and check for evidence of burn/wear. Tube hours can be misleading. If the tubes look good and your happy with what the picture looks like, Ok.

Next, does seller provide any backup/support or warranty. Are they reputable, known source. That said:

A 1272, with good-excellent tubes, from a reputable seller would be a good buy. Also, you should the the remote and manual(s). Manuals not as big a deal since they can be downloaded.
