I have a Sony HD100 DirecTV HD receiver and have been having problems in trying to receive Channels 199 and 509 since I installed a dish to get the 119 satellite yesterday.
I'm pretty sure the satellite dish is aimed correctly (I use a two-dish set up in order to minimize rain fade rather than a single oval dish) because I'm getting Spanish stations in the channel 400 region that I didn't get before. That tells me that the wiring doesn't have any shorts, either. I've also checked that the feed from the HD dish is going to the B-side of the HD multiswitch, and that there are two RG6 feeds from the HD dish so that the polarity of the LNB is maintained.
I've contacted DirecTV to no avail -- they say my account is properly set up to receive 199 and 509. I can't think of anything else that might be the cause of the problem except for the Sony HD receiver itself. It displays OTA HD broadcasts just fine, by the way.
Anyway, I saw a reference to an HD100 "Plus" and was wondering what that was. I did a search here but couldn't find any pertinent posts. And unfortunately, the old, incredibly useful DBSForum is gone, so I don't know of anywhere else to turn.
Anyone able to offer any suggestions, or information about this HD100 "Plus?"
