On a projection screen? Why do we need it? Who does it in Chicago.

What does it do?

The search is down and that is why I have to ask...

Jim Burns is in Chicago...you'd be hard pressed to find anyone better anywhere else in the US.

Calibration means adjusting your display device to the same standard that was used to create the video signal, DVD, OTA, etc.

You'll need to adjust your Red, Green, and Blue adjustments (gains and offsets) so that the numbers encoded on a DVD are interpreted and displayed just as the director intended.

There are other thingst that need to be calibrated other than color, like black level and white level (brightness and contrast)

But basically calibration means adjusting your set so that you see what the movie director intended for you to see.
