OK, So is the 9950F converter box better then the regular 9950 ?

Assuming they both have the same basic performance, it would depend on the specific requirements that an end user has. AFD may be desirable for some, but not for others.


Until someone buys one and posts about it, it can't be said.

I bought 5 digital stream dtv boxes (radio shack was convenient) and in less than a year, 2 of them have died. In both cases the power LED is dimly lit, but the unit simply won't power up.


Additionally, when I tried to get a replacement for one that was still under warranty, they made me hook it up and try every concievable thing to satisfy them that indeed it was dead (took almost half an hour). At that point they wanted to know if I had another TV on which to try [the whole process again]! I've never experienced anything like it.


I wouldn't buy another digital stream product if you paid me.
