What is the best Speaker & Sub Package to pair with Pioneer VSX-1019 for about $600-$1000?


I posted which receiver between the VSX-1019 & Onkyo TX-SR607 to choose from in the receiver forum and I was already leaning towards the Pioneer but I was also told to step up my speakers & sub because I was going to go with the Energy Take Classic 5.1 package but I was told they were under powered for the receivers I was going for.


I was suggested these packages from one person


For bookshelf speakers, I would go with:

For speaker wire, just go with 14 or 16 guage.


I found this package http://www.wwstereo.com/#/ecommerce/..._-1__0_0_0_-1/ but found out that their not that great of speakers and the price is not really that great of a deal from the original suggested price shown.


Also is $600.00 a good deal for slightly used new condition Klipsch Sub-12 Subwoofer, C2 Center Speaker, 1 pair S2 Rear Surround Sound Speakers?


If it is and their quality speakers would I need another set of the S2 for the fronts or would I do a B2, B3 or S3?


Any advise would be great and if you have a suggested package from a reliable website please post the link exact link thanks.

It was 2 pair C-50 Bookshelf Speakers, C-C50 Center Channel Speaker,S8.3 Subwoofer I think it was $399.00 or $499.00 & Free Shipping but it's gone now.

its also comes with a Velodyne sub for $150 more.


Another great deal is the ELT525 package from AV123dotcom. $599 for two towers, one center and two bookshelf speakers all in cherry. Plus the build quality and finish is outstanding.


If you must have bookshelf speakers look at some KEFs on closeout. The clarity of KEF speakers is a big plus, great for HT.

So the Mirage OMNI is a quality speaker setup better then the other stuff I listed?


I don't mind the towers the only thing is I wish they were the glossy black finish to match my other stuff.


How about the Klipsch stuff I listed are they better then the OMNI if not how about the sub-12 used for $200-$250 is that better then the Velodyne?

I'm not a Klipsch fan so you wont get a fair answer from me. i don't like the horn tweeters.


Look at hometheaterdirect speakers if you like gloss black. They have a nice following here on AVS. 30 day in home trial too.

I bought Energy Take 5.0 speaker with VSX 919, but found it to be have distortion above -5dB. Looking for the alternative.


Will KEF KHT1005.2 be better, I know it is satellite, so I have no idea will be better or not.


Any other satellites?
