Originally posted by Andy in NYC I'll be replacing my existing RCA TV soon. While I'd like a huge set, the spouse will only allow a set which fits in the entertainment center. The opening is 21h x 28w with an open back. I'm running all audio from the stereo, so I don't care about speakers on the set (they only take up more room). So, who makes and what is the largest HD set that will fit in my space? |
Originally posted by Andy in NYC We presently have a 31" RCA in the space (model F31224GG); I can't even remember when it was new. It is a 4:3. Surely there is a larger than 27" 4:3 (or 16:9) new set which will fit. |

Originally posted by Andy in NYC This isn't about negotiating with my wife; it's simply about the largest set that will fit in the available space. The armoire cost more than some used cars, so a Walmart replacement really isn't an option or the issue. If a 27" 16:9 set is the largest that I can get to fit, then that's probably going to be the answer. It's not a good answer, but such is life. |
Originally posted by Andy in NYC the cost really isn't a factor (screens small enough to fit in my space aren't going to cost $7K ). Andrew |
