It seems Mitsubishi has an 82" due out soon, as well as a new 73", but does anyone else make anything in this size range?

Most manufacturers top out around 65". Several reasons:

1) sets become so heavy and awkward that moving/installing them is problematic.

2) few people have living rooms large enough not to be overwhelmed by a screen that big.


Front projection is most practical approach for very large screens.

One would need a fairly dark room for a front projector is that right? I have the perfect living room for 82" but for the $(20,000.00) I could probably set up a killer projector system.
