I was driving home this evening when the family wanted to watch a horror movie. I just read a pretty good review of "The Thing" on HD DVD in the High-Def Digest. I decided to drop by BB and I knew the HD media section was the first thing after walking through the door. There it is -- $24.99. Although I bought KK for $29.99, I generally draw the line at $20. Anyway, I decide to check the DVD isle. It was $9.99. You can guess which one I went home with.


Does anybody have a sense for when these HD DVD media prices will be more in line with DVD?

Well, Fearless on DVD was about CAD$25 here. I managed to snag the Batman Begins HD DVD for $20. Mind you, Fearless on HD DVD was around CAD$38.


NB. CAD$1 = US$0.85


As for the The Thing, it's excellent quality on HD DVD.
