What is wrong with Talladega Nights disc?

1232 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  thalazy
I'm not sure if this is covered anywhere on this forum, but today I received Talladega Nights from Amazon. The wrapping was the same as any other disc I have purchased with security tapes on three sides. When I looked at the disc it reads: For promotional use only. Not for sale. on the right side of the disc in black background with white lettering it reads: Playstation 3 compatible. Is there something wrong here? Was I sent the wrong disc. I watched the movie and checked out a couple of the extras. Nothing wierd. I never seen the movie before, so I don't know if there is anything taken out or added.

Any idea what the deal is?

That's the version that came with the PS3.
Iggster, I didn't say the box said all that, I said the disc did. The cover is the exact same thing your picture shows.

The main thing I want to know is whether or not the PS3 version is the same as the regular version. If it is, then I have no problem with the disc they sent me. But I hate to think I paid for something that clearly state "Not for sale."

It's not the same.

The PS3 version is the PG-13 rated cut. The regular BD is Unrated.
Bad news. I have both versions of this movie and you have the PG-13 version. Someone did a switch with Amazon. The unrated version has no "for promotional use only" on the disk. The PS3 version I have is juat as the OP described it.

WTF? I just bought it at Best Buy today and it's the Unrated and Uncut version (on the box). I open it up and on the disc it reads for Promotional use only not for sale and PG-13 rating on the disc, yet when I put it in and started it up it has a running time on 122 minutes apparently the same time as the director's cut. I was hoping for some notification like they normally do (the rating before the movie starts or this film has been modified). I am confused, as the disc is brand new. I guess I got the unrated version just a mislabled disc. Anyone else get this error?
