Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I am not quite sure where to ask, but I was hoping someone on here could tell me what kind of an audio in jack this is? I just bought a new home that has a speaker system throughout by breathe audio and I am what I would need to make this work with something like an ipod. Obviously I am not an audio junkie, so any help you guys could provide would be great. Thanks.

I was looking at their site, and it looks like they might have a proprietary connector designed for use with their own electronics. It might be easiest to contact them and ask them any questions you might have.

i don't know how they might have the pins wired, but that sure looks like an old school parallel port to me...

That's what I was thinking. Counted the pins and it's just a DB25 connector.

The OP just needs to know what the pin outs are for. I'm sure you can pick up cables with connectors for a song these days given no one uses those (serial and parallel PC connectors) since USB came around.

I went to Breathaudio.com. Another one of those stupid sites where they think they need to entertain you with music.

At any rate, if I were the OP I'd think hard about using that plug - those pins aren't made for conducting much wattage or amperage - its a parallel port plug from the old printer days. Those wires might be large enough to carry proper wattage to the speakers but those pins - and the connections made between them and the wires - will be a limiting factor in capacity.
