I was in best buy the other day checking out some of the DLP models and they had two Samsung models side by side and for some reason the older model (HD3) looked brighter than the C. Kirk model (HD2+)..?


Did they just have it set up wrong? You had to be eye level with the screen and look straight on to see the whole picture clearly....not so much with the cheaper model. I would normally chalk this up to me not knowing the pros and cons of a DLP set but it still doesn't explain why a DLP set with a supposed inferior chip looked brighter and didn't require me to stare right at it to see the whole picture.

I bet they set it up wrong. The HD2+ is brighter and sharper than HD3. If you see both side by side with comparable settings, the difference is obvious and most people find HD2+ superior.
