I have used but never really got into FFDshow - I recently (last week) reinstalled all the new suggestions for FFDshow.


Vista Media Centre (WMP11) is just not the player of choice with FFDSHOW.


I have MYmovies which works with VMC great.


So what do the FFDshow people use as a library with nice picture of the move, option to see a trailer or look at the actors?

i was actually thinking in NOT using VMC but I want to know how I am going to find my videos. Surely everyone is not going to a good old folder still.

Our software, J. River Media Center, works with ffdshow. From Theater View, MC14 will show you an Info Panel for each movie, with basic metadata (cover art, director, actors, etc.). It's a DirectShow player. It can also use the WMP engine, or the QT engine, or you can set it up to play the movie with any other player.
