I had read great reviews about this player, and it is not listed on the Panasonic web page. Has it been replaced with a new model? If so, how does it perform?

I think the consensus is that the RP-82 is worth the small amount of extra money it costs over the RP-62. Even though the RP-62 is the direct successor to the 56, those looking to purchase a player in this category should go for the 82 instead and just bypass the 62 entirely.
