So what are your favorite movies for one-liners and quotes?

I am watching the new release of Repo Man (umvd) and I am just amazed by how many great lines are in this movie, I had forgotten. I can't believe this writer/director never did anything else I have heard of.

Some of the classic moments are not even speech, like when Otto starts laughing when he looks at the photo of the "sausage"and Leila tells him it is really a photo of

Blazing Saddles gets my vote.

"'S'cuse me while I whip this out."

"Someone's going to have to go back into town and get a s***load of nickles"

"The Sherrif is near"

" Need any help?" "Oh, just all I can get."

...and many, many more --some not politically correct-- but many written by Richard Pryor.

just thinking about it, even though it wasn't a great film, armageddeon had 2 lines that i love hearing....always make me laugh

harry, the clock on that 9 foot nuclear bomb just started ticking......

and a few minutes later...as one of the guys rides the bomb rodeo style

get off the nuclear weapon

actually, just typing them here makes them both sound very un-funny...just shows how tone and setting can really make humour i guess....anyway. to each his own

The scene in Four Weddings and a Funeral when Hugh Grant wakes up and finds he’s late for the wedding and every word is f---, f---,f---.

When Meg Ryan recreates her fake orgasm at the restaurant in When Harry Met Sally.

12 replys and no one mentions Casablanca?

good grief.

was watching it the other night and just marveling at wit displayed in one exchange after another.

the films dialouge is intoxicating.

The Wizard of Oz is very quotable:

"We're not in Kansas anymore."

"That's the Horse of Another Color."

"There's no place like home."

"Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?"

"I'll get you, my pretty; and your little dog, too!"

etc.

An all-time classic quote comes from "Cool Hand Luke," when the Road Prison Captain says:

"What we have here is failure to communicate."
