What pj did your HS51 replace?
Trying to get an idea of what pjs is the HS51 replacing.
If you are adding the HS51, and it is splitting viewing time, vote for the primary or none, whichever you think is more appropriate.
Owners should state which pj they are replacing.

IIRC there are 1 or 2 other G70 owners who have HS51. I am not sure if they are replacements or additions. There are 2 or 3 ex-Barco 808 owners who have not yet voted. The ex-DLP number is a surprise.

I wonder which pj is owned by the person who voted for other?
I previously owned the Viewsonic PJ 551 Projector!
I owned a 7" crt, Sony 1270qm, before Sony HS50.
Replaced a Barco 808- 8in non LC CRT. Well sorta replaced...

Haven't had much time to watch the HS50 yet but so far am pleased.
It is a much dimmer projector than the 12. More like a dlp than an lcd.
One thing I have noticed in a couple of movies is the 'foggy' look some others have noticed.
On most though, the image is very good, especially the detail in dark scenes.
I have not had a chance to calibrate yet because my just purchased copy of avia does not play (Ovation is sending me a new one).

Replaced Sony VPL-400Q, the original Sony 16x9 LCD projector. What a world of difference!

I've got 42 hours on the new PJ ... I'm having a little diffiiculty resolving what is happening in dark scences. Maybe I should double up and buy another HS50?
