I just realized that almost every projector I look up has a similar throw distance to the optoma 1020 I'm currently using, which is like 92 but I need like 120" - ish.

Is the gt1080 or benq basically my only reasonable option on a low budget?

Short version, I want to shelf mount 10'5" (9'9" to lens) away from the screen and still get 120" instead of try to ceiling mount.

The UHD50/52ALV will do 118in at 10.4ft while the HD39HDR will do 121in at 9ft 10in. The HT3550 and TH685 will do 127in at 10.4ft and 120in from 9ft 10in.The HT2050A will do 117in at 9ft 10in:

If you shelf mount, you'll probably still need to invert the projector.

That's while thanks! I searched like 30 projectors before I came here to ask, is there a way to filter / search projectors by throw distance or did you just kinda know some of those off the top of your head from experience? Maybe some way to search by lens ratio?

Roger on the mounting. I've done that before, 3d printed a little cradle. But my room was like 14ft wide instead of 10 so it wasn't much of a problem.
