Hello,

I just bought a NEC PG9+ and do not have the master remote that goes with it.

I understand that I can get a Philips Pronto and program the codes into it and be able to use that as my remote + more.

It seems that there are many models out there and was wondering what was the model to get?

Thank you for the help,

Arno.

PS: Anybody knows where to get the serial codes for it?

G'day Arno,

head over to www.remotecentral.com and navigate to the File Archives section that supports the Philips Pronto & ProntoPro. Scroll down to the link that will take you to the Component Configuration Files, choose NEC/Projectors and you will find a .ccf for the PG series that will allow you to perform all the alignment/convergence functions for your newly aquired 9PG+.

Using the Pronto is a lot slower that using the dedicated NEC remote, but as you are still in the learning phase of 'the art of NEC calibration' it shouldn't matter much.

I've got a RU890 model Pronto (essentially the same as the TS-1000) and it's 1MB capacity is plenty for all my equipment. The Pronto will be a valuable accessory to your theatre!

Cheers :)
