I have an IF 4805 PJ in a 12ft x 20ft x 8ft room. It is ceiling mounted at a distance where I get a 92" diagonal screen, and I sit about 13ft away. I have chosen to buy the Da-Lite Permwall screen. The room has little to no ambient light, but my wife likes to watch TV with some ambient light on. Would the Pearlesence or HCCV be best for me? I am about 50/50 between them. I like the extra punch the pearlesence should give, but I also want to have good contrast.

It might help to add that I watch alot of SD television (hopefully soon to add HD again) and movies from my HTPC. Thanks for the help in advance

Get the HCCV so your movies look best.

For the daytime TV add a preset for 7500K, brightroom2 gamma, and white peaking full up, then manually (not saved with preset) crank the lamp up to high. Will give you the same bump that the brighter screen does - and extra fan noise should not be too bad during the noise of the day.
