i just downloaded speed fan 4.37 but i'm unsure what the temperature reading is for?

i have

temp1: 41c

temp2: 65c

HD: 42c

is 1 my motherboard and 2 my CPU? it displays temp 1 automatically at the bottom right hand corner, or are any of them my graphics card? the reason i ask is that i'm having trouble with my computer freezing and i'm thinking its my CPU.

what's a pcu?

seriously though 65c is really hot for an idle temprature. I'm not familar enough with speedfan, but if anything (besides a highend graphics card) is sitting at 65c on idle, somethings probaly not right

I was going to say that the Temp2 was the GPU and Temp1 was the CPU. 65C/41C would indeed be very hot for idle CPU/System temps. You'd need to provide the model of you mobo to find out for sure. Also, check the Speedfan website and check you model to see what other users have listed for your motherboard.
